Responsibilities include:Senior Director, Business Development’s roles and responsibilities are focused on managing all aspects of business and customer engagement activities for ASM’s Plasma Products (PEALD and PECVD) for the globalcustomer base.• Develop and drive new product introductions, product differentiation and value proposition for target customers• Understand customer’s current needs and future roadmap, prioritize business opportunities, develop and execute account specific sales strategies• Develops relationships with sales and customers to support sales process to secure purchase orders• Provides strategic inputs to Product Marketing in defining, validating, and maintaining appropriate product configurations and options• Drive generation and approval of quotations and commercial proposals to ensure product gross margins meet business requirements• Negotiate and respond to customer’s RFQ by working with product marketing, engineering, and other functional groups• Work with Sales and apply market intelligence to forecast, size factory, and plan slots• Collect competitive information and customer future needs to identify areas of product improvement and influence development of our product roadmap to maintain competitive leadership• Be in tune with customer activities to ensure all opportunities are captured and product related issues are resolved and communicated to customers and other relevant stakeholders in a timely and professional mannerQualifications:• MS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or related technical field and at least 15 years of relevant work experience. Ph.D. or MBA preferred. If BS degree than require 20 years of relevant work experience.• Experience with Thin Film deposition process equipment in the semiconductor capital equipment is required. CVD/ALD process development or support experience preferred.• At least 10 years of product Sales/Marketing experience is required as a semiconductor capital equipment supplier• Experience negotiating and managing strategic partnerships with customersPersonal Characteristics:• Ability to thrive and generate high quality deliverables in a challenging, results-oriented, fast-paced environment.• Demonstrated credibility and experience dealing with semiconductor fab management and senior executives.• Agile business mind that thrives on proactively addressing market opportunities and driving the team accordingly.• Take initiative, anticipate and resolve roadblocks.• A strong overall executive presence and exceptionally capable of communicating, presenting and negotiating effectively at all levels within the organization (internally and externally).
