Our client is seeking an experienced Digital ASIC Design Engineer who will assist in the development and architecture of the state-of-the-art embedded designs for fingerprint sensing subsystems. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues in the ASIC Development organization as well as with the R&D, System Engineering, Software Engineering and Sensor Development teams to deliver high-volume products based on cutting-edge sensor technologies into Mobile, Smart Card and IoT markets.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Join a team of engineers focused on development of embedded system ASICs and peripheral devices
  • Perform architecture, design, integration, verification and implementation of digital blocks. Assist in validation process flow and corresponding tool selection.
  • Integrate externally developed IP into the SoC structure
  • Develop digital system analysis tools/aids for internal and external use
  • Provide technical support for full product lifecycles from initial concept through to product development into production ramp
  • Contribute to architecture evolution in line with future product requirements
  • Ensure timely status reports
  • Support existing projects
  • Meet with engineers and other company members on and off site as required
  • Worked closely with physical design team to achieve optimum solution with regards to power, performance and area
  • Collaborate with Mixed-Signal, System, Firmware, Software, Validation and Test teams

Required Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ of experience in design, development and/or verification of digital ASICs
  • Ability to create detailed written specifications of complex circuits and systems
  • Ability to explain complex design concepts at various levels
  • Experience in specifying and integrating externally developed processor and digital IP
  • Experience in backend processes, such as synthesis, static timing, place and route, power analysis, etc.
  • Creativity and Analysis skills with ability to research and devise new circuits and architectures
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience of working within a geographically distributed, cross-functional team organization
  • Signal Processing background would be a plus
  • Experience working with software teams with a goal of optimizing the final product
  • Proven experience of effective knowledge transfer within the organization


  • BS / MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
