The Director or Vice President of Operations will serve as a distinguished and pioneering hands-on leader, holding a pivotal role in leading and optimizing operational functions in a tier-1 engineering organization. As a key member of the executive team, the VP will oversee and enhance the entire operations ecosystem, leveraging strategic acumen, operational excellence, and leadership skills to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Role
- Develop the company’s overall strategy and implementation for technology and business operations across HW, SW, and Systems
- Bolster revenue by facilitating inbound interactions with the manufacturing supply chain, while simultaneously driving outbound engagements with customers and ecosystem partner
- Lead the planning, negotiating, and commercial interface for all chip development and manufacturing operations, including foundry, assembly, test, ODMs, and other service provider
- Drive product cost models to hit market and customer requirements by maximizing quality, reliability, and yield
Qualifications
- Silicon Operations leader recognized for bringing products from cradle through successful high-volume manufacturing
- Proven industry track record of enabling high-volume, revenue-generating hardware product
- Technical proficiency in silicon operations manufacturing at sub 7nm (CPU, GPU, NICs, or FPGAs)
- Recognized expert in yield and chip cost modeling resulting in increasing yield while decreasing cost over product lifecycle
- Gantt chart development proficiency
