Chip Company client had acquired a remote site recently and SBT was tasked with finding a Senior Manager level candidate to be the right arm to Director of the site. Location was in a non-tech hub location and as the Hiring Manager put it, “the only player in town”. Within 2 weeks, SBT was able to identify two separate passive candidates who had either worked in a more remote region previously or who had personal interests that could align with the colder, more remote area. Both candidates were viable and both were worthy of offers after the full interview process, thus SBT was able to give the client a first choice and a viable backup in case they could not land their top choice. Placed candidate moved and started within 60 days of search initiation. From The Director: “Having spent months searching for this person and getting a few offers rejected because of location, it was a breath of fresh air to have 2 great candidates we could offer knowing that either would accept!”

Successfully recruited a key leader out of one of the most highly respected consumer electronic companies globally to join and lead an IC development architecture organization. Said architecture group was looking for a future leader that could drive the future architecture being developed for 3-5 year time horizon IC commercialization. There was no job description but a great story to tell about what was currently happening within the organization and the future growth that would be happening very soon. SBT was tasked with keeping much of the company information confidential yet relaying the right balance of accuracy and excitement about the position and future growth. SBT was asked to fill a newly created VP of Marketing role to join a stealth-mode start-up, that has since gone public and is currently traded on NASDAQ. Start-up’s biggest pain point was that in the 7 months they had been on the search on their own and via a previous search firm, they were having trouble compensating for the real-time equity high level marketing directors were receiving from the silicon focused pool they were targeting. With the main requirement being previous full-life cycle technical product roadmap ownership with a highly technical power Analog background, SBT leveraged its current and past network within Texas Instruments and identified the eventually placed candidate who had been a “TI Lifer” and was ready to try something new. Time from search start to placement was 70 days. From the CEO: “We really needed the right person for this and we have them thanks to SBT!”

Fabless Semiconductor Client had a new product line that was still in its growth stage and needed system level expertise of a mixed signal automotive sensor that only a few engineers would have at the power levels they needed. The engineer we identified and placed with our client came in and within 1.5 years defined and helped execute an IC that generated over 300 million in revenue, and numerous other ICs since. From Hiring Manager:”We thought we would have to find this person internally, but after a few weeks working with SBT we knew they had found the right person in the first 4 people we saw from them”

Recruited a verification engineer with strong mixed-signal behavioral modeling experience, as well as UVM and test bench architecture experience, but someone senior enough to lead technically who was not looking to manage people. We were able to find this person and relocate them within 45 days from the search inception. “We were skeptical of recruiting firms as the last one we used gave us irrelevant backgrounds. From the HR Manager: We were pleasantly surprised to see multiple solid candidates within the first 2 weeks – we actually hired 2 candidates.”
