MEMs Recruiters and Executive Search

We identified and successfully recruited a MEMS Systems Engineer who owned product definition with a notoriously demanding company in Cupertino. His technical competence along with interpersonal skills enabled the definition of a novel MEMS gyroscope that ended up winning a a socket that secured 600 million in revenue. We recruited this engineer from a non-traditional source company because of our intimate knowledge of the MEMS technology ecosystem. Charged with looking for a MEMS Characterization Engineer with audio experience, MEMS validation/lab experience, AND IC related characterization experience. SBT delivered a candidate with ALL three who 1 year later was tasked with growing a team around himself and is now managing the entire 10 person team. SBT was tasked with finding a highly specialized Design Director, who possessed technical experience with MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes. The ideal candidate was found in less than 30 days and started in less than 60 days. The client had been searching for this position on their own for 11 months with no success. In a highly specialized search, looking for a top technical ranking individual at the company (CTO level), SBT scoured the industry and were able to deliver one of only four people in the entire United States who was capable of filling this role. SBT recruited what the company referred to as, “an absolute ROCKSTAR Marketing Director” who exhibited a breadth of experience across several MEMS types; this enabled the company to double revenue in 24-months, eclipsing $1 Billion in overall revenue also enabling them to launch three new products into brand new (to them) industry vertices.
